The fine print
Privacy & disclosure
Last updated July 15, 2026.
Privacy in plain terms
We want this to be a calm place to read, so we keep data collection to the bare minimum needed to know which articles are useful.
- We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. It does not set tracking cookies, does not follow you across other sites, and does not build a profile of you.
- We do not ask you to log in, and we do not collect names, emails, or personal details unless you choose to email us directly.
- We do not sell or share data, because we do not gather the kind of data anyone would want to buy.
If you email us, we keep that message only as long as we need to reply and follow up. Nothing more.
Affiliate & sponsorship disclosure
Our recommendations are made on merit. We are not paid to rank any tool, and we do not run sponsored posts disguised as advice.
In the future, some outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a small commission at no extra cost to you if you buy something after clicking. If and when that happens, we will disclose it clearly, and it will never change which tools we recommend or the order we recommend them in. If a free tool is the right answer, that is what we will say.
External links
Where we point to another site or tool, we are not responsible for its content or its own privacy practices. It is always worth checking the license and terms on anything you download or use in your own work.
